Did anybody else think we acquitted ourselves very well after the sending off yesterday? I actually thought, if anything we slightly improved. I put this squarely down to the fact that Keif was subbed for Roberts and that removed him from the pitch. In effect before Dean was sent off we had already played all the game with 10 men anyway.

It will take a miracle now for us to stay up. I think most fans are desperate for Monk and his staff to stay to get us instant promotion. Wouldn't it be a boost to players and fans if he committed to stay with us?

We have 2 home games left, Barnsley only have 1, even with their game in hand. Their 3 remaining away games aren't easy either.

It’s inevitable

We have rode our luck for a few years now but this time is up. We are going to be relegated. We have very hard games whereas the other teams all have winnable ones. A lot of our fans are saying that we are fine and “this is the blues way” but that is either trying to be optimistic or just blind stupidity. This is harder than last year or the year under Clarke. Wolves have 6 days now to lark about on the training pitch, meet with their agents, dream about the riches to come.

I was going to say we missed a trick today but it's probably not true. We did everything we could reasonably be expected to do.

We have a squad of very average players who hopefully can grind out a few results to keep us up.

I don't know what happens then though.
