I used to play in goal and we were getting battered one game so I was having a busy day. About five minutes left, saved a one v one and their little fecker of a forward stamps on my hand intentionally. No pain, fingers just went numb. Played the last few minutes, took off my glove and my middle finger is facing the completely wrong direction.
Day after, the doctor tells me that the tendon is snapped, bone is broken and ligament cracked. Didn’t play for six weeks and it ended up really knocking my confidence unfortunately. Considered myself half decent until then but never really got back in to it.
