Sixteen of the old boys of the Lyceum class of 1974 got together last week, but this was not a typical reunion. The get-together was planned to go visit one of their classmates who has developed a severe case of ALS. Joe Debono, a well-known media personality, was one of the organisers of previous get-togethers, so it was only right that he be the centre of this one. Two men who were refused entry to a French nightclub for producing a fake COVID health pass have been arrested over a shooting at the venue that left one partygoer injured, prosecutors said Sunday. The incident took place on Thursday night in the outskirts of the eastern town of Montbeliard. West Ham manager David Moyes enjoyed a winning return to Everton as Angelo Ogbonna’s header sealed a 1-0 victory at Goodison Park on Sunday. The widow of notary Ivan Barbara, whose clients were left chasing their money, has appealed a magistrate’s decision for an inquiry into possible misappropriation and fraud, saying she was extraneous to her husband’s dealings.  Rosanne Barbara Zarb, who renounced her husband’s inheritance, said the clients had not proved the link between her and the notary’s alleged wrongdoing. Britain's justice minister on Sunday laid out his plans to reform key rights legislation to stop the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) from "dictating" to the UK. Justice Secretary Dominic Raab said in an interview with The Sunday Telegraph that the ECHR was imposing too many "obligations on the state". The UK Human Rights Act passed in 1998 incorporates the European Convention on Human Rights into UK law. Ten new COVID-19 cases were reported by health authorities on Sunday, with 11 of Malta's patients currently receiving treatment in hospital.  Of the patients in hospital, one is receiving intensive treatment.  The health authorities also reported 18 recoveries registered overnight, meaning the number of active virus cases in the country currently stands at 271.  On Saturday, authorities reported just eight new virus cases.
