Mental illness may have triggered Norway bow-and-arrow attack

A bow-and-arrow attack in Norway that left five people dead this week appears to have been motivated by mental illness, authorities indicated Friday, as the perpetrator was ordered to be kept in a medical facility. Espen Andersen Brathen, a 37-year-old Danish citizen who converted to Islam and is believed to have been radicalised, has confessed to the Wednesday killings in police questioning. 75-year old charged with harassing tourist at club toilets

A 75-year-old pensioner who allegedly sexually harassed a Spanish tourist in the bathroom of the Labour Party club in Floriana was granted bail upon his arraignment on Friday.  Roger Galea, from Rabat, was at the club premises on Thursday evening when the young woman stepped up to the bar counter to order two coffees for herself and her boyfriend, who was seated outside.  “Hello, pretty girl! Malta-donated COVID-19 vaccines arrive in Rwanda

A total of 135,690 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Rwanda from Malta on Friday morning. The vaccines arrived in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital, on a seven-hour Air Malta charter flight. It was the longest non-stop flight ever operated by the airline. Rwanda has so far vaccinated just 15% of its population. Watch: 45 dogs seized from man barred from keeping animals

Police officers and animal welfare officials turned up to a Birzebbuga man’s home on Friday to confiscate some 45 dogs. A court earlier this week fined Antonio Vella €20,000 and banned him from keeping dogs for 25 years after being found guilty of neglect. Updated 4.10pm Conservative British lawmaker David Amess was killed on Friday after being stabbed "multiple times" during an event in his local constituency in southeast England, in the second death of a UK politician while meeting voters since 2016.
