The majority of people with visual disabilities watch four or more hours of television per day, which is almost as much as the general public, a new survey by Comcast and the American Foundation for the Blind found. That’s compared to a Nielsen study from 2016 that found the average person watched about five hours of television per day. “It’s a myth to think that you can’t enjoy television just because you have a visual disability,” said Tom Wlodkowski, Vice President of Accessibility for Comcast, who was born blind.

DENVER (AP) — Police say they're searching for a homeless man in the alleged murder of a woman in a downtown Denver loft. The Denver Police asked for public assistance in locating 40-year-old Terry Lane Dunford, who is believed to reside in the city's downtown area. Dunford is wanted for first degree murder in the death of 49-year-old Jeanna Leslie, a substitute teacher whose body was found in her apartment early Wednesday. She'd been stabbed multiple times.

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old girl sitting in a car with young siblings and her grandmother in northeastern Ohio has been fatally shot and a suspect is being sought. Police haven't identified the girl shot around 10:30 p.m. Friday in Akron. Police spokesman Lt. Rick Edwards says the shooting happened after the children's mother pulled in front of a home to retrieve belongings and broke windows when no one answered the door. BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a South Carolina woman who was apparently killed by her boyfriend three months ago wasn't reported missing until about a week ago. Bennettsville Police Chief Kevin Miller says once 40-year-old Shelby Head's estranged husband reported her missing, the case was quickly solved. Authorities found Head's body Thursday in a ditch covered with trees. A cause of death was not given. Head's boyfriend Raymond Nolan is charged with murder. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma transportation official says rail used by Amtrak for the Heartland Flyer that runs daily between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, Texas, complies with a new speed control system. Amtrak President and CEO Richard Anderson has said it's possible service will be suspended on tracks that don't have what's known as Positive Train Control — or PTC. AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine lawmakers may make it tougher for citizens to get questions on ballots as Gov. Paul LePage this week renewed his call to reform a system he's called too representative of liberal-leaning Mainers. ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina say they were able to get mental help for a student who threatened to bring a BB gun to a high school so a police officer would kill him. Edgecombe County Sheriff's Detective E. W. Muse Jr. says the teen posted on Facebook earlier this month he wanted the officer at SouthWest Edgecombe High School to kill him. Authorities say another teen was killed early Saturday in Columbia after an argument among friends over a video game.
