ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts high school says state officials have found no wrongdoing by varsity hockey coaches accused of denying players food and water as punishment for losing games. GONZALES, La. (AP) — A former Louisiana sheriff's detective has admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl in a plea deal that will send him to prison for a year. The Advocate reports 33-year-old William Lanoux of Prairieville pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and prosecutors agreed to drop a malfeasance in office count. (AP) — A teenager who started a massive wildfire in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge last fall by tossing a lit firecracker into the woods pleaded guilty Friday in a deal that spares him time in custody. Police spokesman Aaron Looney says 57-year-old Johnny Gatlin is from Purvis, Mississippi. A news release Friday says he's described as 5-foot-8, with a medium build. A photograph shows that he's black, with a closely-trimmed mustache and goatee.
