Democrats make surprising inroads in GOP's Fairfield County
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut Democrats have managed to pick up legislative seats in wealthy sections of Fairfield County that appeared unwinnable for years. For the first time since 1930, Democrats have won the 36th Senate District, which includes Greenwich, New Canaan and parts of Stamford. They also won Greenwich's 150th House seat, ending a century of Republican control. Meanwhile, veteran Wilton Republican Sen.
