A rogue tyre from a lorry struck a car travelling at speed, smashing its windscreen and causing damage to the car's chassis. The dash-cam video, filmed in Jingmen City in central China's Hubei Province on April 7, shows a tyre appearing out of nowhere and hitting a car. Further footage shows the extent of the damage, with the chassis, bent inwards. The tyre was being transported by lorry moved but was not fastened properly. The car driver suffered minor injuries and the lorry driver was fined, according to local reports.

This is the moment the owner of a Lamborghini Aventador had to stand in the rain to change his roof after a sudden downpour. Footage from Hanoi shows the worried owner hurriedly trying to mount the roof as rain begins to fall. Witnesses say the owner of the vehicle sprinted over to his car from the cafe in which he was drinking coffee when it started to rain. In Slovakia tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets of the capital Bratislava on Sunday calling for government reform and an end to corruption. There have been regular demonstrations since the murder in February of a journalist who was investigating politically-connected business people. The killing of Jan Kuciak, 27, and his fianc'ee at their home in February increased widespread anger about persistent corruption allegations, leading to the largest near-weekly protests since the end of communism in 1989. A mother was waiting in the rain with her baby at a red light. A food delivery man happened to be there and saw the drenched mother and baby. He immediately took off his raincoat to cover the stroller.

A passenger in China took a flight attendant hostage using a pen as a weapon and forced an Air China flight to be diverted. Local armed police evacuated passengers and controlled the suspect. All passengers and crew were unharmed. Police said the 41-year-old man, with a "history of mental illness", had been taken into custody.

The men, who had been waiting for a friend before ordering, were accused of trespassing. The store manager approached the men on Thursday evening and asked them to leave after they requested the use of the toilet without making a purchase, police said.
