Southwest Airlines reveals Hawaii plans, sort of
Ever since Southwest Airlines first announced its plans to start flying to Hawaii, everyone has wondered exactly which routes it will fly, when the service will start, and what it will cost. This week, the company answered a part of the first question but none of the others. In discussing Southwest's first quarter financial results, CEO Gary Kelly revealed that the airline will fly to four Hawaiian airports: Honolulu on Oahu, Kona on the Big Island, Kahului on Maui, and Lihue on Kauai.
