WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. companies hired 241,000 new workers in March, a solid total that suggests the already-low unemployment rate may be headed lower in the coming months. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Kansas City man has been convicted in a New Year's Day 2016 shooting that killed a man and left a woman wounded. Thirty-one-year-old Ramon Boyd was found guilty Tuesday or voluntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and leaving the scene of the shooting. RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a Rapid City man who was struck and killed while crossing a street in the city. Police say 38-year-old Lambert Eagle Hawk was killed about 8 p.m. Sunday while walking across a busy street outside of the crosswalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle driver wasn't hurt. Police are continuing to investigate.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — News organizations including The Associated Press are pressing for additional external surveillance video depicting the law enforcement response to the Florida high school shooting that killed 17 people. In an interview with CNBC Wednesday morning, Ross said that tariffs imposed on China amount to 0.3 percent of GDP and that some action has been "coming for a while." POTTSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities are searching for a Pennsylvania man accused of fatally shooting a woman who claimed he was her infant son's father. Montgomery County prosecutors say Bobbie Mitchell Jr. faces murder charges in the death of 23-year-old Siani Overby in Pottstown. Authorities say Overby was shot multiple times early Sunday. COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lanka's Parliament debated a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Wednesday, a move that threatens the unity government elected on a platform of good governance.
