World War 3 threat: US admiral warns Russia’s missiles could strike ANY capital in Europe

Russian President Vladimir Putin has invested heavily in the Navy increasing their submarine fleet to showcase their strength.

Admiral James Foggo, who heads NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, expressed his concern about the destructiveness of their submarines and cruise missiles, stating they had the capability to reach “any one of the capitals of Europe”.

He said: “Russia is not 10 feet tall but they do have assets that keep me vigilant, concerned. One of them is in the undersea domain.”

The naval officer also stated the Russians currently have six Kilo-class diesel-electric attack submarines in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean. They see it as one which there is a challenge, and that challenge is the United Stated Navy and the United States submarine force. Admiral James Foggo Admiral Foggo said: ”We’ve seen creation of new classes of all sorts of submarines and ships. I’m more concerned with submarine warfare.

«Russians have produced the new Dolgorukiy-class submarine. They’ve produced the Severodvinsk-class submarine. They’ve produced the new Kilo hybrid-class submarine.”

Adimral Foggo also revealed he has no doubt that Russia sees the US as the main threat.

He said: «They see it as one which there is a challenge, and that challenge is the United Stated Navy and the United States submarine force.» However Admiral Foggo does not see Russia as an immediate threat and together with NATO they hold an “acoustic advantage”.

He said: «I can tell you that we hold an acoustic advantage and we will continue to do that,» he said, referring to the listening technologies that allow sailors to locate subs.

The upcoming NATO exercise Trident Juncture, which is due to begin October 25 and will involve some 45,000 troops from all NATO members and will be the biggest such drills since the Cold War.

The exercise trains troops to repel «an adversary that comes across a NATO ally’s border».

Admiral Foggo added: «There’s a strong deterrent message here.»
