Intrepid long-distance swimmer Neil Agius has started his attempt to swim from the Italian island of Linosa to Malta, a distance of 130 kilometres. He plunged into the sea on Monday afternoon after a countdown by friends, some of whom will accompany him on boats to offer support and encouragement. Balzan FC have continued their transfer activity when they signed goalkeeper Rudy Briffa and Serbian midfielder Milos Mijic, the Times of Malta can confirm. Britain's defence ministry on Monday apologised after top secret documents assessing the movements of a Royal Navy warship in the Black Sea were found at a bus stop.
