NEW YORK (AP) — Jon Stewart has made a home for two goats found roaming along the subway tracks in New York City. A train operator on Monday alerted headquarters about "two very baaaaad boys" along the N Line in Brooklyn. It wasn't clear where the goats came from. Police arrived on the scene, tranquilized the goats, and took them to an animal shelter. That's when Stewart stepped in. CLARKSTON, Ga. (AP) — A school near Atlanta has been shuttered in response to a threat made over the weekend. WAGA-TV reports that the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf will be closed Tuesday as Clarkston police investigate. Superintendent John A. Serrano sent a letter to the community Monday notifying them of a threat, the details of which were not specified. ATLANTA (AP) — Police say a man was fatally shot in the head in downtown Atlanta. News outlets report that the man was shot around 9 p.m. Monday near Atlanta First United Methodist Church. Atlanta Police Lt. Andrea Webster says the victim was in his 40s and was found by his own son. Officer Stephanie Brown says police are still gathering details. Lucas Matlock tells the Palm Beach Post that the Chevrolet Suburban jumped the curb, scraped past two cars and crashed into a support pillar at Sea Plum Town Center on Monday. COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — A Swedish jet fighter has crashed in southern Sweden, apparently after striking a bird. Sweden's Armed Forces says Tuesday that the pilot of the Swedish-built JAS 39 Gripen fighter jet ejected safely after the bird strike. He has been taken to a nearby hospital, likely for checks. The plane crashed near Karlskrona — 160 kilometers (99 miles) east of Malmo, Sweden's third largest city. No other details were immediately available.

ATLANTA (AP) — A Georgia judge has dismissed a murder indictment against a man accused of injecting heroin into the veins of another man who overdosed and died. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that 35-year-old Graham Williams of Bristol, Tennessee, had been charged in the 2015 death of Gregg Ivey of Milton, Georgia. Superior Court Judge John Goger said Williams injected the fatal dose at Ivey's request and Ivey purchased the heroin for himself. SELMA, Ala. (AP) — A 3-year-old boy has been hospitalized in Alabama after police say he was beaten and burned by his mother's boyfriend after the child accidentally used the bathroom on himself. The Selma Times-Journal reports 29-year-old Rakeem J. Harris is charged with aggravated child abuse and second-degree assault.
