WATSONVILLE, Calif. (AP) _ Granite Construction Inc. (GVA) on Monday reported a loss of $11.4 million in its first quarter. The Watsonville, California-based company said it had a loss of 29 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 13 cents per share. The contractor and construction materials producer posted revenue of $563.4 million in the period. Granite Construction shares have declined 16 percent since the beginning of the year. DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say four people were shot at an after-hours club in Florida. GENEVA (AP) — The U.N. agency that fights AIDS says that it's reopening a sexual harassment investigation against a top official, saying additional allegations have emerged against him. UNAIDS says it was reopening the investigation into a case against deputy executive director Luiz Loures that centers on a complaint from a lower-level employee during a stay at a Bangkok hotel in May 2015. COLUMBUS, Neb. (AP) — A bookkeeper has been accused of stealing more than $85,000 from a Columbus business. Platte County Court records say 45-year-old Jennifer Held, of Monroe, is charged with three counts of forgery and two of theft. Her attorney didn't immediately return a call Monday from The Associated Press. Her next court hearing is scheduled for May 5. DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) — An inmate who escaped from a Kentucky prison in a stolen correction officer's car is back in custody. Forty-four-year-old Kenneth Bolin was serving time on multiple counts of robbery. WKYT-TV cites a release from the Kentucky Department of Corrections director of communication, Lisa Lamb, that says Bolin overpowered an officer about 1:30 a.m. Monday. NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A suspect has been arrested in the death of a man found shot to death in a South Carolina motel room. North Charleston police say 19-year-old Daniel Reed was arrested Sunday on charges including murder. It wasn't known if he had a lawyer. ANDALUSIA, Ala. (AP) — Prosecutors say unsolicited packages have been sent to two Alabama girls that were addressed to them in care of their elementary school. The Covington County District Attorney's Office tells news outlets the Phenix City girls received the packages over the week.
