Police: Man crossing Las Vegas Blvd killed Sunday morning
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a man was killed while crossing near the strip in Las Vegas early on Sunday morning.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says a car was on Sahara Avenue at Las Vegas Boulevard when it struck a man who was crossing the intersection.
Witnesses told police that the light had turned yellow and the crossing had a "do not walk" signal but that the man crossed anyway.
The driver of the car who struck the man didn't show signs of being impaired.
Police say the Sunday death was the 138th traffic-related fatality investigated by metro police this year.
