Traina’s screenwriting debut, ‘I Hate Kids,’ premieres at Castro
Todd Traina has been producing a diverse array of thoughtful, instructive and fun feature films and documentaries for two decades — including “Tallulah” (2016), “Morning” (2010) and “Punk’s Not Dead” (2007).
On Thursday, April 5, Traina will premiere his first film as a writer, the road movie “I Hate Kids,” at the Castro Theatre during the San Francisco International Film Festival.
“I Hate Kids” stars Tom Everett Scott as a bachelor who learns he has a 13-year-old son, and works with a psychic (Titus Burgess) to track down the mother. Rhea Selhorn and Marisa Tomei are in the cast as well. Traina says it’s a family-friendly movie for older kids, but tweens and teens will enjoy it as well.
