NATIONAL SUMMARY
The storm system bringing heavy snow to the Upper Midwest
today will move into southeastern Canada tomorrow. Out ahead
of the storm, a surge of mild air will push into the
mid-Atlantic and New England, just east of the Appalachians.
High temperatures will soar into the 60s F from Boston to
Washington, D.C., and reach the 70s across the southern
mid-Atlantic and Carolinas. A line of gusty showers and
thunderstorms will accompany the frontal passage. Wind gusts
of 50-70 mph are possible and can lead to minor roof and
property damage, as well as sporadic power outages.
