  The Englishman was guilty of sloppiness in possession early on but shook off the central defensive rust to produce a composed display. Dier organised and marshalled those around him to suggest a spell in midfield has helped develop his defensive awareness.

  Leonardo Ulloa was an anonymous figure in the first half and Wimmer had little attacking threat to deal with but rarely put a foot wrong.

  Having missed so much football this season it was no surprise to see the Algerian look rusty in the early stages. Although he recovered to produce a composed performance it is unlikely to have been enough to retain his place at the weekend.

  Huffed and puffed - as usual - but it was not his night. Guilty of poor decision making in the final third when he had an excellent chance to send Eriksen clean through. Withdrawn on the hour mark.

  The return to form continues. The Danish midfielder's presence was crucial. Leicester were a difficult nut to crack but his passing and vision helped to grind them down.

  The Belgian was anything but impressive but redeemed himself with a well-taken strike in the second half which effectively put the tie to bed.

  Tottenham's best player and brightest spark. The South Korean scored a superb goal courtesy of a powerful and precise finish. But he wasn't done there and carved out the chance for Chadli's goal with a deft through ball.

  SUB: Kane was introduced on the hour mark and almost scored with his second touch but that proved to be the only sight of goal he had. Worked tirelessly and should be refreshed at the weekend after being rested from the starting line up.
