Musicians “Kino” released a new clip with archive footage
The musicians of the “Kino” group presented a new clip. The video for the song “Try to Sing with Me” was published on the band’s official YouTube channel.
The video contains the original vocal recording of Viktor Tsoi, as well as the musicians’ parts played live. In addition to guitarist Yuri Kasparyan, two bass players from Kino appeared in the video at once: Alexander Titov, who played in the group until 1986, and Igor Tikhomirov, who played in Kino before the breakup.
The video also includes footage from Sergei Lysenko’s short film “The End of Holidays”, filmed in 1986. This was the first film for the musicians, they specially came to Ukraine for shooting. “The film, frames from which are used in the video, was filmed in Kiev two months after Chernobyl, and this is worse than Kovid!” – guitarist Yuri Kasparyan said to Fontanka.
A year ago, the Kino musicians announced a series of concerts, which should be the first performances of the band after the death of Tsoi and the breakup of the group in 1990. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, concerts had to be postponed until 2021.
Now it is assumed that the tour will begin with a concert in Minsk on February 7. The concerts in St. Petersburg, at the Ice Palace, are scheduled for February 13 and 14. On March 13 “Kino” will perform in Kiev, on April 17 – in Nizhny Novgorod. The two Moscow concerts have moved on May 14 and 15, 2021. The concert in Riga is scheduled for June 19th.
At the concerts, the musicians will play live, Tsoi’s vocals will sound, and a video sequence with his participation will be broadcast. The editing and graphics for the performances are handled by the son of Viktor Tsoi, Alexander.
After the tour was announced, the Kino musicians released new versions of the songs “Trolleybus”, “Music of the Waves” and “Mom, we are all seriously ill”, and also performed in the “Evening Urgant” program with the premiere of the song “In our eyes”.
