DENVER (AP) — A transgender inmate who is suing Colorado's corrections agency says she was raped at a men's prison hours after a federal judge denied her request to block the prison from keeping her in a disciplinary unit, according to court records and the woman's attorney. SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — The University of Notre Dame plans to build a 180-unit housing complex for married graduate students to replace an off-campus apartment complex that's slated for demolition. MILTON, Mass. (AP) — A judge has set $7,500 cash bail for a Massachusetts man who led a police chase with his 81-year-old grandmother in the backseat. Patrick Laubenstein was arraigned Wednesday on multiple charges including abuse or neglect of an elderly person and failure to stop for police. Authorities say Laubenstein, of Randolph, picked up his grandmother from her nursing home and took her to Envision Bank where he tried to withdraw $1,000 from her bank account. The bank refused to give him money and Laubenstein took off as police arrived.

(AP) — Police departments in northwestern Indiana are turning to key fobs as a way to unlock doors at local schools electronically so officers can quickly enter if there's an emergency.
