Szmanda's son, Charles Szmanda, says his father died Sunday in home hospice care in Antigo, Wisconsin, of congestive heart failure. ATLANTA (AP) — A former Atlanta police sergeant is headed to prison for beating and arresting a man he incorrectly suspected of stealing a tomato. The U.S. attorney's office in Atlanta said in a news release Monday that 50-year-old Trevor King was sentenced to serve five years in federal prison for the October 2014 incident. On a per-share basis, the Walnut Creek, California-based company said it had net income of 86 cents.
