Man, 2 teens charged in thefts of new cars from storage lot
DETROIT (AP) — Two teens and a 26-year-old man are charged in the thefts of new vehicles from a storage lot near a Fiat Chrysler assembly plant in Detroit.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old are expected to appear Tuesday in juvenile court. They face seven counts of larceny over $20,000, resisting police and malicious destruction of property.
Cortez Peterson was arraigned Saturday on receiving and concealing a motor vehicle and resisting police. He faces an Oct. 9 probable cause conference and Oct. 16 preliminary examination.
Police recovered at least eight vehicles taken Friday morning from the lot near Fiat Chrysler's Jefferson North plant.
