Doe mule deer illegally killed in western Wyoming
AFTON, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says a doe mule deer has been illegally killed in the western part of the state. The agency says the deer was likely killed on Sept. 1, just north of Salt River Pass and south of Afton. It had been shot with an arrow. Only the meat from the hind quarters and backstraps was retrieved. It is a violation to not also retrieve the tenderloins and front shoulder meat.
