CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (AP) — The annual music festival honoring the Everly Brothers in their hometown is being held this week in Kentucky. The Everly Brothers Rock-n-Roll Cruise-in marks its 17th year, running in Central City Wednesday through Saturday. Concerts are held Wednesday and Thursday nights, with muscle cars, hot rods and trucks on display on Friday night. MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Prosecutors say a Tennessee man has pleaded guilty in his 6-month-old daughter's death, which was initially believed to have been caused by a traffic accident. The Shelby County district attorney's office said Monday that 29-year-old Atu Campbell has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated abuse of a child under 8 in a court-approved settlement. A former Napa County jailhouse guard says in a lawsuit that he was driven off his job and wound up in a mental hospital, by vicious antigay harassment from co-workers and supervisors. BALTIMORE (AP) — Divorce filings from the parents of the suspect in a deadly shooting at a Florida video game tournament say that as an adolescent he was twice hospitalized in psychiatric facilities. That's according to court records in his home state of Maryland reviewed by The Associated Press. Authorities say 24-year-old David Katz of Baltimore opened fire Sunday at a gaming bar inside in Jacksonville. YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — An 18-year-old man accused of stabbing a man last week in Yakima is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder after police say the victim has died. The Yakima Herald-Republic reports the suspect is accused of stabbing a 55-year-old man in the neck after visiting a home to see about a trailer he had loaned a resident. DENVER (AP) — Authorities say Denver Public Schools crisis counselors met with children at an elementary school after a 9-year-old student killed himself after he was reportedly bullied for being gay, the Denver Post reports. The Post reports that the Denver Coroner's Office confirmed Jamel Myles died by suicide on Thursday. DPS spokesman Will Jones says Jamel was a fourth-grader at Joe Shoemaker Elementary School. The Portsmouth Herald reports Hampton police received a report about animal abuse involving a seagull at Hampton Beach Sunday afternoon. Police say the witness said it appeared the bird's leg was injured and that it struggled to fly away. New Hampshire Fish and Game Lt. Adam Cheeney says seagulls are protected under federal law. Three victims were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. They are expected to survive. Police say the suspect escaped on foot. BOSTON (AP) — Authorities are investigating a report of a sexual assault at a Boston community college. Bunker Hill Community College says a female student was groped in an elevator and asked for sexual favors by a man at the Charleston campus Monday evening. Police say the suspect drove away in a black Nissan. Campus police are investigating the report. No arrests have been made. BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The head negotiator for the University of Vermont Medical Center nurses union has resigned in the middle of contract talks. The Burlington Free Press reports the nurses union issued a statement Saturday thanking Julie MacMillan for her "hard work and dedication." MacMillan had led the group during contract negotiations since March 29. Union president Laurie Aunchman said MacMillan's "guidance and leadership" was vital to the group's success so far.
