4 Sharks score in thumping of Islanders
Two games don’t make a season, but the Sharks definitely took a step forward during a two-game homestand.
Four skaters scored goals, Evander Kane provided an emotional boost and Martin Jones continued to shake early-season rust as San Jose beat the New York Islanders 4-1 on Saturday night at SAP Center.
“Training camp felt quick. We’re getting things up to speed now a little bit,” Sharks captain Joe Pavelski said. “Every year is different, but this was a good little homestand for us.”
The Sharks outskated the Islanders, much like they did against the Buffalo Sabres during a 5-1 win on Thursday.
