Police: Suspect in fatal stabbing turns himself in to police
PARMA, Ohio (AP) — Police in Ohio say a man turned himself in over the weekend in connection with a fatal stabbing.
Parma Police Sgt. Daniel Ciryak says police responded late Friday to find 39-year-old Jason Masters in a basement with multiple stab wounds. Cleveland.com reports police and fire personnel attempted first aid, but it was unsuccessful and Masters was pronounced dead.
Officials say a 38-year-old man had fled the scene before police arrived. He turned himself in early Saturday morning and was taken into custody.
The suspect is currently being held, and police have not released his identity.
