Boy dies days after rescue from hotel pool in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (AP) — A 9-year-old boy has died, days after he was rescued from a downtown St. Louis swimming pool.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that police on Friday confirmed the death of Ed Harris of St. Louis. The child died Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to the Hotel Lumiere at the Arch Sunday night. By the time they arrived, hotel staff members were performing CPR on the child, whose family was having a pool party when he went under the water. It was unclear how long the child was underwater before he was rescued.
The boy's father is a St. Louis firefighter. An investigation continues.
