Homeowner charged in neighborhood dog's death
GOOD THUNDER, Minn. (AP) — A man in southern Minnesota is charged with a felony for fatally shooting a dog in his neighborhood with a pellet gun.
Sixty-three-year-old Brian Johnson, of Good Thunder, is charged with animal cruelty in Blue Earth County and is due in court later this month. Johnson's attorney, Jim Kuettner, says the dog was repeatedly coming onto Johnson's property and urinating and the owner, Carrie Dolsen, wasn't doing anything about it.
Dolsen says she wants justice for Diesel, a dog she rescued about four years ago. A complaint says Johnson told police he was sick of the dog coming into his yard and urinating on his trees. The Star Tribune says Johnson and Dolsen live about a block apart.
