Police: Man pulls knife on bystander, hits service dog
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire say a man pulled a knife on another man while they waited for a cab and hit his service dog with a book bag.
They've charged 27-year-old Christopher Paquette, of Concord, with criminal threatening, drug possession, and cruelty to animals.
Police in Concord said Paquette approached the man waiting for the cab on Tuesday and said he needed a ride. The man said Paquette could take his cab, but then Paquette became agitated.
The cab driver said he could only drive the person who had ordered the ride. Police said Paquette hit the man's service dog with the book bag and said he'd stab him. Police arrived shortly afterward; no one was hurt.
Paquette was to be arraigned Thursday.
