Apple Orders ‘Little America’ Immigrant Anthology Series From ‘The Big Sick’ Writers
Apple has given a series order to an immigrant anthology series from creators Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, the Academy Award-nominated screenwriters behind “The Big Sick,” and TV producer and writer Lee Eisenberg, a person with knowledge of the deal tells TheWrap.
Apple has ordered eight episodes of “Little America,” inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazine, which will go beyond the headlines to look at the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring and surprising stories of immigrants in America, when they’re more relevant now than ever.
Eisenberg (“The Office,” “SMILF”) will write, executive produce and serve as showrunner.
