I often feel like Hoy is scapegoated. Been a lot of games this season were he’s been one of our best players yet smith will jump at any opportunity to take a dig and drop him.

Quick to pay him off when he’s fit to play but we’ll happily let Carlos sit in the stands for the rest of his contract.

Does smith get to choose our 2025 recruitment as surely he won’t be here. Even if he doesn’t get sacked. He can’t get a contract extension.

More bans and now 15 games missed from ten suspensions in just 7 games worst disciplinary record in Super League, most penalties conceded, worst scoring rate for 25 Years, our worst defensive record in our super league history . For me now it's past the grumbling stage and simply heartbreaking and demoralising. Still we hear no words of sympathy or encouragement from the management. We'll probably get the Hudds game thread later but would anyone change selection for that game? Looks like Handley out, Fus and Sangare in? Not sure when Bentley will be fit again.

Again, given the importance of this game and it being at home, this is about as first choice a side as we could hope for at this stage in the season.

Miller, Fus, Newman, Martin, Momirovski, Croft, Frawley, Mik, Ackers, Sangare, McDonnell, Goudemand, Smith; Lisone, Holroyd, O'Connor, McCormack.

Sheffield are good, and I did find it weird they weren't being taken as seriously as Bradford or Fev at the beginning of the season. They have a real good balance with experienced-but-not-over-the-hill players like Welham and Dawson-Jones, with a really well drilled pack - Titus Gwaze being their standout player IMO. But they also have loads of depth - they have 4 halves to choose from in Aston, Thackeray, Hansen and Farrell - so they'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. However,...
