Probably could have phrased that slightly differently.

Friday was a physical game with players (Kes for example) being treated during the 80 mins. My thoughts were that perhaps if players are carrying knocks, they may be rested on Sunday as long as replacements are available.

On Easter Monday constant reference to "Summit" rather than Sammut caused a few chuckles in the crowd. Does anyone recall any other amusing announcements? I seem to remember we had a bit of trouble a few years back with Faasavalu and the team from Moscow. No offence to the announcers.

For me Simpson has been the more assured of the kids and I wouldn't mind seeing him have a crack at full back with darnell on the wing. Can't recall an error from Simpson.

Darnell will be a good player in a couple of years but he does one good thing, gets cocky and makes 2 mistakes, he'll learn but he just needs to learn quickly!

Agreed on both players and they will be playing in the same team next year which will be very exciting.

Lots of other very good players in the younger age group within the Academy and plenty of the older age scholars also set to join them next year. So far its 6 from 6 for the Academy and I personally think next years Academy squad has the potential to be stronger again.

All 3 teams (1st, Academy and scholarship) had good wins against strong opposition last weekend. The future looks good! Читать дальше...

wakefield were poor on Monday against Hull. Scored 3 tries directly off dropped balls by Hull but created virtually nothing themselves despite lots of good field position in the game. Had Hull been better disciplined and not dropped so much ball they'd have won by 30 points. wakey still better than the likes of salford, widnes, hull kr and les cats so will probably finish 7th but you can tell kear is no longer there
