Gap CEO Replies to Child’s Request for More Gender Neutral Clothing
Five-year-old activist Alice Jacob is learning early in life that standing up for what you believe in can really make a difference. Jacob first made a name for herself earlier this month, when the Washington Post published the letter she’d written to Gap CEO Jeff Kirwan, asking for fewer girls’ shirts with “pink and princesses” and more with “cool” images, like the “Superman, Bat Man, rock-and-roll, and sports” usually reserved for boys. At GapKids, we try to always offer a wide range of styles and choices for girls and boys.
