Experts predict further devaluation of lari

Experts predict GEL devaluation again. They say the government has no real plan for improving the country`s socio-economic situation.

They also suggest that in 2017 there will be no economic growth, which will adversely affect the stability of the gel.

"We will not have such economic growth this year which may define the stability of the national currency. The only thing that may positively influence GEL exchange rate but in the very short term, is that if the loans are converted from USD to GEL, but a few months later, the key factors will be launched again. It is the fact that the country imports much more than it exports. investments do not enterl and all this leads to rapid fluctuations in the long run, and on the other hand,to the devaluation, "- said Giorgi Papava.

Some experts expect the increase in the prices of consumption products too.
