Officials said, "no papers will be asked" and "no biometrics will be taken" during the exercise. However, on the website, the NPR database will contain biometric details.

The BJP raised Rs 2,410 cr during 2018-19, of which Rs 1,450 cr came as donations through electoral bonds, according to election watchdog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). The Congress raised Congress Rs 383.26 cr and TMC Rs 97.28 cr through electoral bonds. While BJP spent Rs 792.39 cr on election or general propaganda, Congress spent Rs 308.96 cr.

Budget session to commence on Jan 31
