Thief strikes Walgreens stores on NW Side: police
In each incident, the suspect walks behind the counter, grabs several packs of cigarettes and leaves without paying, Chicago police said.
Chicago police are looking for a person who has stolen cigarettes from multiple Walgreens stores recently in Portage Park, Norwood Park and Avondale on the Northwest Side.
In each incident, the suspect walks behind the counter, grabs several packs of cigarettes and leaves without paying, Chicago police said.
The thefts happened:
- Between June 20 and July 4 in the 4000 block of North Cicero Avenue;
- About 8:40 p.m. June 26 in the 6300 block of North Nagle Avenue; and
- About 7:20 p.m. July 4 in the 3200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
Police said the suspect was a man driving a white SUV.
