Action movie classic ‘Robocop’ comes to New Parkway

«SFGate» (sfgate.com)

If you liked dark, violent, funny movies that played well in drive-in theaters, the action/satire “Robocop” was one of the best cinematic surprises of the 1980s. The 1987 film combined filmmaker Paul Verhoeven at the peak of his powers, some excellent special effects work (including stop motion master Phil Tippett animating the bad guy droid ED-209) and a deadpan but sensitive performance from Peter Weller as the titular police office who is still more man than machine. ...
