NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A federal judge in New Jersey has officially terminated a consent decree prohibiting the Republican National Committee from engaging in tactics that can lead to voter intimidation, ending a legal dispute that dates back to President Ronald Reagan's first term. PHOENIX (AP) — Police say they're investigating a double homicide in west Phoenix. They say two men were found dead in a parked vehicle about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday near 87th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. Police were called to the area on a report of a suspicious vehicle. They say both men had obvious signs of trauma and the case is being actively investigated. The names and ages of the dead men haven't been released yet.

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Legislature needs to do more than just legalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana by passing legislation that would set up a system to tax and regulate the drug, advocates said Tuesday. Jay Inslee told lawmakers in his annual state-of-the-state speech that there is work to do on fighting the opioid crisis, as well as addressing gun violence. He called on the Legislature to ban bump stocks, close the loophole on semi-automatic rifles, and require the safe storage of firearms. VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — The port of Vancouver's Board of Commissioners has voted unanimously to put an end date on a rolling lease that Vancouver Energy needs for an oil terminal. The Columbian reports Tuesday that the company must provide all necessary paperwork by March 31 or the lease will be terminated. A key state energy council recommended in November that Gov.
