GOP senator offers bill to legalize marijuana in Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A member of the Republican leadership team in the Kentucky Senate has introduced a bill aimed at legalizing marijuana. Sen. Dan Seum said Wednesday that Kentucky should join the legalization trend flourishing elsewhere. Eight states and the District of Columbia have legalized marijuana for recreational use. Maryland officials to GOP in Washington 'enough is enough'

15-year-old charged with attempted murder in stabbing

BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — Police in Massachusetts say a 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing another teenager. Police tell The Enterprise the stabbing happened Sunday in Brockton. Investigators say the 15-year-old followed the 16-year-old boy before he grabbed an object on the street and stabbed the victim. Man gets nearly 3 years in prison for stealing identities

LOUIS (AP) — A man from Nigeria has been sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison for stealing identities of dozens of people and using them to file false tax returns that resulted in $734,000 in bogus refunds. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 38-year-old Olusola Luke was sentenced Wednesday. He pleaded guilty in October to conspiracy to steal government funds.
