Raiders well aware of ‘overshadowed’ Rams WR Cooper Kupp
Cornerback Leon Hall was among those tuned in to the Rams’ historic turnaround from lowest-scoring team in the NFL in 2016 to its highest-scoring last season.
“Their offense in general just kind of took off,” said Hall, the now-Raider who played last season in the NFC West with the 49ers. “It was fun to watch. Until now.”
The first regular-season task for the Raiders defense on Monday night will be trying to slow a Rams offense that averaged 29.9 points per game last season, becoming the first team in the Super Bowl era to go from lowest-scoring (14.0 ppg in 2016) to highest in a year.
