Beating Oklahoma State on road in NIT would be a major step for Stanford
Beating strong teams on the road has not been easy for the Stanford men. Their biggest road win was an 84-83 victory against Arizona State in their final regular-season game.
Their other Pac-12 road wins came against Washington State, Washington and Cal. Of those, only the Huskies (10-8) had a winning record in the conference.
Now the Cardinal play Oklahoma State on Monday at 4 p.m. in a very hostile environment, Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, where the Cowboys (20-14, 8-10 in the Big 12) were 14-5 this season. It’s a second-round game in the National Invitation Tournament.
