‘Days of Our Lives’ Renewed for 54th Season at NBC
The iconic soap opera “Days of Our Lives” has been renewed for a 54th season on NBC, the network said Thursday.
The daytime drama aired its 13,000th episode in 2017. The show debuted in 1965 with half-hour episodes that expanded to an hour a decade later. “Days” has earned 52 Emmy Awards in its more than 50 years on air, including Outstanding Daytime Drama in 2013 and 2015.
“We’re thrilled that the sands will continue flowing through the hourglass for yet another year,” said executive producer Ken Corday, teasing some excitement ahead. “Buckle up because we have some exciting and compelling new stories coming to Salem this season.
