Wigan Warriors have today named the 19-man squad for Friday’s game against Widnes Vikings.
Shaun Wane makes four changes this week with Tom Davies, Gabe Hamlin, Josh Ganson and Callum Field all being named in the 19-man squad.

Ben Flower, Liam Farrell, Sam Tomkins and Joel Tomkins all miss out for the Warriors.

The game is the second meeting between the two teams in 2018 after Wigan were 32-16 victors at the DW Stadium at the start of March.

New member here so apologies if this topic has already been discussed.

After watching the Cas game Friday night it seemed to me that giving Joe a run in the centres may be of (potentially big) benefit to us.

The loss of Gells at the start of the season was a big blow for us in my opinion as it leaves us without a real big body in the back line that can provide us with a bit of real punch on the edges. Burgess is a big, fast, powerful athlete who I think could make up for this. The... Читать дальше...

I know we have kind of covered this question in the McNamara thread but the only reason I can think of that he hasn't already long since been sacked is that the club and Bernard in particular know something about the structure of the 2019 Super league that isn't apparent to the rest of us.

If he knew the club were not at risk of relegation then he might be keeping the coach to try and give him another winter to sort the mess out, and make sure Tomkins joins.
