A bombing at a football match killed three people and injured 11 others on Monday in eastern Afghanistan, a police official told AFP, as the Taliban announced an end to a partial truce in the country. "A motorcycle rigged with a bomb exploded during a football match," said Sayed Ahmad Babazai, police chief of eastern Khost province, giving details of the toll.

A Delhi court on Monday stayed the execution of the four convicts and deferred the matter till further orders as the mercy petition of one of the convicts, Pawan Kumar Gupta, is pending before President Ram Nath Kovind. Hanging of the four convicts was scheduled for Tuesday at 6am. Pawan's curative plea was rejected by the Supreme Court earlier in the day.

Jet fuel (ATF) prices were on Monday slashed by a steep 10%, the second straight reduction in rates in as many months, as international oil prices slumped on fears of the spread of coronavirus. Simultaneously, the rates of non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) were cut by Rs 53, wiping away a third of the record Rs 144.50 per cylinder price hike effected last month.
