Earthquake hits Azerbaijan; tremors felt in Nagorno-Karabakh
A magnitude 4.5 earthquake hit Azerbaijan early on Tuesday morning, its tremors shaking also the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
The Armenian Emergency Ministry’s Seismic Protection Service registered the jolts at 4:33 am Yerevan time (GMT 00:33). The epicenter is 33km north-west off the town Shamakhi.
The hypocenter depth was 15 km.
The jolts measured 3 points in Nagorno-Karabakh’s capital Stepanakert.
