Brown's Newsagents in Carlton Lane Shopping Centre are now selling rugby league books along with their regular supply of rugby league magazines.
They have Big Den (biography of Dennis Hartley), Three Good Years (a novel set against a background of work, family life, saving the NHS and Rugby League during the 2006, 7 and 8 seasons) and (Rugby Football: A Game United) based on the idea what might have happened if the northern clubs had won a majority in 1895 and taken control of our game.
There will be more to follow. Читать дальше...

It's going to be interesting to see if Ryan, Jordy & Lee take up new offers of contracts as reported, as players improve & tend to ask for more money. MC runs to a budget so something has to give even if one squad player drops out to pay for all the increases ?

Keyes probably won't play again this season, Hitchcox out until near the end of the season. Magrin has been sent to London Skolars.
Gibson, Milton and Doyle - yeah, alongside the likes of Pickersgill and Doyle.
As a Fax fan I think Marshall would do great. We were crazy to get rid of him (though I understand for a big SL club it may be a little underwhelimg!)
But my question is, how many top, experienced coaches will want the job if Hetherington and Sinfield are sticking their oars in? To get the man you want, you may need to completely change your structure?..

Won’t be as easy, Finn’s influence is growing, hopefully a Fax win but will be close. Fax by 5.

Nobody has identified seventeen (17) Hull FC players allegedly missing. It may have been a made up number (i.e. fake news).
However I can confirm, without fear of rebuttal, that Catalans had nine (9) players missing:
David Mead, Lewis Tierney, Jodie Broughton, Benjamin Garcia, Bernjamin Jullien, Kenneth Edwards, Mickael Simon, Michael McIlorum, Matthew Smith
I think for this one we'd be best going back to what worked during the latter part of last year with Williams and Leuluai at 6 and 7.
Hardaker, Marshall, Sarginson, Gildart, Burgess, Williams, Leuluai, Flower, Powell, Bullock, Greenwood, Isa, O'Loughlin
Clubb, Navarette, Smithies, Shorrocks
We need Farrell and Sammut back desperately.

I calculated the results of all remaining fixtures of all clubs, making the assumption that we never win another game, every result in every game went against us, that wherever possible no team above us beats a team below us.
There would be other possible permutations because as the season goes on the definition of one team being "below" or "above" another changes, but overall, the worst case scenario final league table would look something like this:
Fev36
Halifax36
Dewsbury29
Batley28
Toronto26
Leigh26
Toulous
This should be a good game. One of our best displays of the season was the 28v0 win at The Shay against The Rams and they will be smarting from the 0v38 defeat to Toulouse at the weekend, although the week before they won at Widnes. Fax are on the up though and I would think we can progress to the next round but it won't be easy. Let's all get over there and support the lads. Rams 14v26 Fax.

yes,ive seen some rubbish over the years and I keep coming back, but this team has talent ,but for some reason cant be bothered in some games.both London broncos and rovers are both inferior to us,but neither side has had 60 plus put by them so far this season.we ve had 2 60 plus defeats against us.its not good enough.
