Cracking win that - although I'm unsure what happened in that 20 minute period when they ran in 3 tries; scared me to death.

I thought Reece Lyne was outstanding again - made superstar signing Uate look daft several times; and Big Dave was clearly there more for appearances - carrying an injury I suspect - but still managed to pull off his customary bit of magic.

Tough win in the circumstances - which we haven't been good at in the past - so that's encouraging in and of itself.

I thought it was a big mistake hanging on to scruton because he doesn’t play enough. I thought jewitt May come good this year after his king rest last year but no, this years the same - we can’t continue to carry injury prone players in a small squad!! I think everyone knows it

Who exactly came up with the salary cap idea? Its socialist/communist in nature and just drags the top teams down to the level of the bottom teams. Surely it is illegal if challenged in court? It limits a company investing in better players to increase their revenue via more people coming through the turnstile to see those better players.

My theory is that the dash to speed up the game has made the domination at the tackle the be & end all now, so much aggression needed to allow your team mates to get back & set in defence. If players get a quick play the ball the defenders are not set which leads to miss timed tackles & injury’s. Back in the 5 meter days defences were easier to set & much more skill was needed to break through. Also there is no real contest for the ball in open play they just try & restrict meters... Hang on, though; surely what people are advocating here is the system we used to have, where the ref didn't have to make a call on-field, and could send it straight to the VR. And then the complaint was that we got too many VR calls, slowing up the game.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the formulation they use in RU seems the best compromise to me; we should use that. Either "Any reason I can't award the try?" or "Try or no try?"

Finished 30-26 to Hull. I can understand why so many within the game want a reserve grade after watching some of the games this season. It's a sub par standard.

Pick out the senior players who have played in all the drubbings, those and the ones like thompson, logan who we know arnt good enough or consistent enough to be at a top 4 club.

The seniors should be leading by example when were met with abit of adversity, imo i only ever see Ellis and Taylor and now and again Houghton doing this.

We needed big games from Mini, Manu, Green, Ellis, Taylor and Houghton last night as well as Westerman and Hadley who can be very inconsitent
