Sky News understands a further 50 refugees have been interviewed and cleared for resettlement in the United States from the offshore processing centres on Manus Island and Nauru. So far 233 refugees have been resettled in the US under the controversial transfer arrangement originally struck with President Obama, which was criticised, but continued under President Trump. Around 300 refugees have now finalised their interviews with US officials.
