If you're hunting for a new apartment, brace yourself: Your rent is probably going to eat up a lot of your paycheck, especially in urban areas.
According to a recent report by Attom Data Solutions, rent takes up an average of 38.6% of people's paychecks nationwide. But that can also be much higher in urban areas.
