PARIS (Reuters) - Airbus sales chief John Leahy, one of the dominant figures of modern aviation, hinted on Thursday he would retire this autumn, as he wrapped up what he said would be his last air show by revealing a few precious negotiating tricks.

The 67-year-old New Yorker, who has overseen the sale of more than 10,000 aircraft worth $1 trillion since 1994, has said he plans to retire by end-year. But he went a step further on Thursday as he ruled out going to the Dubai Airshow in November. Читать дальше...

Bed Bath & Beyond is falling after missing earnings.

Shares are down 11.38% in aftermarket trading Thursday, trading around $30.06.

The company announced adjusted earnings of $0.53 per share, which was lower than the $0.66 that Wall Street was expecting. The results were much lower than the $0.80 per share in the same quarter of last year.

Comparable sales also missed estimates, decreasing by 2% compared to estimates of a slight 0.3% increase.

CHICAGO (AP) — The confession of a Wisconsin inmate featured in the Netflix series “Making a Murderer” was improperly obtained and he should be released from prison, a three-judge federal appeals panel ruled Thursday.

Brendan Dassey was sentenced to life in prison in 2007 in photographer Teresa Halbach’s death on Halloween two years earlier. Dassey told detectives he helped his uncle, Steven Avery, rape and kill Halbach in the Avery family’s Manitowoc County salvage yard. Читать дальше...

In a rare public statement, former President Barack Obama published a Facebook post on Thursday slamming the Senate Republicans' healthcare bill, the details of which were released on Thursday. 

Echoing the criticism of top Democratic lawmakers, Obama argued that the intent of the bill, known as the Better Care Reconciliation Act, is not to improve healthcare, but to hand a "massive" tax break to wealthy individuals and businesses.

Stocks were little changed on Thursday as surging healthcare companies that got a boost from the much-anticipated GOP Senate healthcare bill were offset by losses in consumer staples and financials.

Chance the Rapper, the first independent, streaming-only artist to win a Grammy, has apologized to Dr. Dre for mocking Dre's Aftermath label and other music institutions on his 2017 Be Encouraged tour.
